Terms of Service
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This page describes the service as of its Last updated date. Preamble changes over time, and we update this page when what it describes changes.
The agreement
These terms are between Preamble, Inc. and you, whether you use Preamble for yourself or on behalf of a company. By signing in or using the service you agree to them. If you use Preamble for a company, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
The service
Preamble is a workspace where a company's people use AI with the models and tools the company has approved. It brings together models, connected tools (connectors), reusable skills, agents and role-based Adoption Kits. A workspace's owner and admins decide how it is set up.
Accounts and workspaces
- You sign in with an emailed code or link, with Google, or through your company's single sign-on. Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
- The first person at a company's email domain to create a workspace becomes its owner. A person who already belongs to a workspace cannot create another one.
- Owners and admins invite people, assign roles, and choose which connectors, models and kits are available. Preamble cannot yet remove or suspend an active member from inside the product: an admin can revoke an invitation that has not been accepted, and a person's access ends when your company's identity provider or directory removes or holds them. The owner alone manages how people sign in, and can transfer ownership to an admin.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your content
You and your company keep ownership of what you put into Preamble and of the answers and files it produces for you, as far as the law and the terms of the models you use allow. You give us permission to store and process that content to run the service for you: to keep your conversations and files, to send what a request needs to the models and connected tools you or your workspace have enabled, and to produce the results. Conversations are private to the person who started them, as the Privacy Policy describes.
Connected tools
Each person connects their own account to a tool, and Preamble acts with that account's permissions. Connectors are read-first: a write runs only for the few actions the product supports, and in a conversation only when you ask for it in your own words. A workspace admin can also run one of these actions directly from the connector tool browser, with their own connected account. You are responsible for following the terms of the tools you connect and the models your workspace uses, and for what you ask them to do.
AI output
AI models can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check an answer before you rely on it, especially for legal, financial, medical or other decisions that matter. Guardrails and validation checks that a workspace sets up reduce some kinds of error. They do not remove the need for your own judgment, and you are responsible for how you use what Preamble produces.
Acceptable use
Do not use Preamble to:
- break the law, or infringe or violate someone else's rights;
- try to reach another workspace's data, or data you are not allowed to see in your own;
- probe, scan or test the service's security without our written permission, or interfere with how it runs;
- put in content you have no right to use, or make malware or harass people;
- get around the limits, roles and guardrails your workspace has set.
Changes, availability and ending
We change the service as we build it, including the models, connectors and features it offers. We work to keep it running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Your company's identity provider or directory can end your access to a workspace. We may suspend or end access for a person or workspace that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. What the Privacy Policy says about keeping and deleting data applies when access ends.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as it is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated here, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses that come from relying on AI output or from the tools and models you connect. Nothing in these terms limits a right or liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes to these terms and contact
When these terms change we change the Last updated date above, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept the changed terms. Questions about them go to dionny@trypreamble.com.
